Welcome to my home theatre Upgrade 2.0 / living room entertainment upgrade for mid 2024 onwards

This upgrade is a Major overhaul I’m upgrading everything I have already started ill add pics below but I have sold old tv unit I did have the Eden large entertainment unit

The dimensions would not accommodate my new setup Dimensions were Width: 2200mm Depth: 420mm Height: 500mm.

We started Rearranging my living room on May 5 2024. I ended up buying the Esperance coffee table (price $399) (Ordered June 5 2024 Arrived June 19 2024) I’ll add pics below, Dimensions: Width 1200mm. Depth 600mm, Height 400mm

This unit is the right size to accommodate my new set up,

I also have rearranged my living room again I’ll add pics below I have flipped it around it works. So much better this way I have much more space to move around in my wheelchair.

From tv wall to MLP is 3.3m or 10.8ft
Back wall to front tv wall is: 3.9 or 13.1ft
Floor to ceiling height is: 2.45m or 8.03ft

Something interesting I just found out August 7 2024 about audio witch I did not now about is Dolby Digital TrueHD 7.1.

Dolby TrueHD is an surround sound audio format that delivers high-quality, lossless audio, while Dolby Atmos is an object-based surround sound technology that adds height and dimension to the audio experience. Dolby Atmos can be delivered over Dolby TrueHD with compatible hardware.

Wednesday August 7 2024 I ran into small issue with my NAS while playing back the movie Dune Part 2 in 4k, during play back in certain sport it would stutter at 1st both my mate and I thought my 4k rip was bad, However while I was playing the movies I went into my office and looked at the resource monitor on my DSM the CPU was at 2% and the RAM was at 15% and network useage was only 10MB/s so hardly being touched.

I then sent a screenshot to my mate and he said “.In your nas go to advances settings change your file protocol from SMB2 to SMB3 and disable encryption” so I did that and now she plays beautifully I will put pic to show u all.

November 1 2024 i did a test with the movie Prey opening sceen using my 4k UHD rip playing from my Zidoo uhd5000 nad play Prey opening sceen via Disney streaming 4k / Dolby Atoms. Still using the same sound setting below.

OMG there was a MASSIVE difference me and my mate could notice the picture quality and sound quality pritty much strat away. the picture much clearer and more detailed the sound was on anouther level playing the the movie form my Zidoo uhd5000. I played the opening sceen the highs were more pronounced and the bass much clearer on the 4k rip playing from my Zidoo uhd5000.

We then played Prey opening seen via Disney+ streaming 4k / Dolby Atoms the picture quality and sound quality was a lot worse picture quality was less defined and the sound come across muddy and quieter. It was like watching 2 completely different movies from now going faword ill be buying 4K physical media. It craps all over streaming services
